Developmental Program

Developmental Program Philosophy: The Levittown Soccer Club(LSC) U8 Developmental Program is an enrichment program. It is designed to provide players in the LSC Intramural Program with additional training and soccer experiences. The primary purpose of the Developmental Program is to assist each player on improving and advancing their soccer skill level. The emphasis will NOT be on winning, but on developing well rounded players that continue to grow with the game of soccer. The program is an excellent way to prepare players to try out for our Travel Soccer Program.

Commitment: The program will expect a higher level of commitment than an intramural team. All players are expected to regularly attend the training sessions offered. There will be 8 weekly training sessions set on late Saturday afternoons for the players in both the fall and spring seasons. There will also be 8 weekly indoor training sessions on Thursday early evenings in the winter. All sessions will be run by a professional trainer and coaches will be encouraged to assist. The Developmental Program will also play in an indoor tournament during the winter season and a Memorial Day tournament in the spring season.

Cost: Each player must register as an intramural player. The Developmental registration fee will be $300 which will be collected via the LSC website. This fee covers the fall, winter and spring seasons. The fees collected will pay for:

  • 24 sessions with a professional (8 spring, 8 winter, 8 spring)
  • Rental of Indoor Facility
  • Developmental Shirt
  • Winter Indoor Tournament
  • Spring Memorial Day Tournament

The Club has partnered with the NY Red Bulls, the top professional soccer team in the metro area. Their trainers will be doing the training for the LSC Developmental program for the 2011-2012 year.
